From 18 May to 19 August 2023, Leon Anderson will be in an exclusive residency at the Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel featuring three main collections – Dapper Dogs, the Members’ Club and the Leaders of the Pack: 

Dapper Dogs - Working mainly in oils, Leon takes favourite dog breeds and uses clothes and expressions to highlight traits that make them so loveable. His inspired canine characters include King James III, Queen Whip-Toria and Sherlock Bones.

The Members’ Club - Leon uses his considerable talents to carefully capture animals in their prime, dressing them with the formal attire that their social rank and situation demands. Notorious members include Mr Khan, Mr Ping and The Colonel. 

The Leaders of the Pack - This collection of smaller pieces showcases Leon’s talent in bringing personal commissions of pampered pooches to life, including Britney the Beagle, Wilma the Whippet and Jonty the Jack Russell.

His beautiful dog portraits grace walls across the UK and as far afield as the USA and Japan. “I’m a passionate artist and animal lover and I like to combine the two where my style and approach derives from the old masters and fine traditional artwork,” he comments.
